The cycling calculator helps you determine your average cycling speed and estimate the calories burned during your ride. Cycling is an excellent low-impact cardiovascular exercise that builds leg strength, improves endurance, and burns significant calories. The calorie estimate uses MET values that account for the intensity of your ride.

Calories burned are estimated using MET (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) values specific to cycling intensity. MET increases with speed because air resistance grows exponentially — cycling at 25 km/h requires roughly three times the energy of cycling at 16 km/h.
