Daily Cost = (Wattage ÷ 1000) × Hours Per Day × Rate Per kWh
Monthly Cost = Daily Cost × 30
Yearly Cost = Daily Cost × 365Wattage is divided by 1,000 to convert watts to kilowatts. Multiplying by hours gives kWh per day, and multiplying by the rate gives the daily cost. Monthly uses 30 days and yearly uses 365 days as standard approximations.
